Tutorial : Make Your Own Washi Tape

I love Washi Tapes. They are so cool, colourful and really fun to have. But then, they can be quite pricey especially if you are living in Malaysia. Craft items are quite hard to comeby and pricey too.

Anyhows, I've decided to make some of my own and wanted to share with everyone how easy it is to make your own.

All you need:

Masking tape (All sorts of width - More fun to play with! :))
Sharpie pens
Pigment Ink pens (Any brands)
Greaseproof paper

1. Tape the Masking tapes onto the greaseproof paper

2. Draw whichever pattern you wish. Whether its doodles/ zentangle/ anything!

3. Tadah! There you go... you own made Washi Tape!

There are many ways where you can make your washi tapes. You can rubber stamp them, print on them...the ideas are endless!

Here's what I did.

Hope you had fun with this easy peasy Tutorial! If you wanna learn more creative ideas, please check here and here

Have a fun sunshine day! *hugs*

Tutorial : Tote Bag Made from Old Tees

I am pretty sure we all have loads of old tees lying around which are probably still in good condition. Also, as you know, in Malaysia.... every Saturdays at the malls are "No Plastic Bags day". I think its pretty neat. They should consider doing it on a long term basis :)

Anyhow, this is very easy and simple. You can make loads and loads and even make them as gifts (Christmas is coming! *Hint! Hint*). So yea, here are my step-by-steps in making them:

Ta-dah! This is how the Tote bag will look :)

Hope you have loads of fun and recycling your old tees! *cheerios!*

Clean the inside of the shampoo or Lotion Bottle

Cut it into a Door Hanger Shape. Leave to Dry.

Use PVA GLue to Glue All over and Stick the papers onto it. Leave it to dry

Walah! A nice and simple gift to decorate the home! ;)

Tutorial : Kindle Book Case

Don't get me wrong, I am not damaging books on purpose! Infact, on a contrary...I am repurposing them! :)

If you are like me, I have books (loads of them) lying around and I just didn't want to give them away - especially those Enid Blyton hard covers! They are useful for my crafts :)

So, here is what I did:

First, take a book (hardcover would be best)

Tear Pages and leave about a 1/4.

Glue pages. Leave it to dry.

Measure the kindle and cut on to the book pages.

Glue the inside, Leave it to dry.

Wrap the book witha nice scrappy paper or anything you would like to use!

The Finish book

Final touches. Add a band to make it look like a locker.

Ta-dah! Its a simple looking book but I love it! :)

Hope you enjoyed my Tutorial. Have a Blessed weekend!
